A Flowered Tambourine Project

You will need for each tambourine:
1 paper plate
a handful of beans
markers or crayons
stapler
hole punch
colored ribbon or yarn
flowers and leaves to trace

Decorate your tambourine by gently folding the paperplate over so the sides meet. Decorate each halfby tracing and coloring flowers and leaves. You canalso gently brush some paint on the flowers, or leavesand press them onto the plate. Write your name onthe plate.

Let your plate dry then fold your plate over completely sothe sides meet. Starting at one end staple close togethergoing around the edge. When you get part of the wayfinished drop your beans in the plate and continue stapling.  For further decoration punch one hole on eachend and tie ribbon or yarn to make strands on yourtambourine.  Thin silk ribbon works well for this.
