OldFashionedLiving.com is a Moab Group company. We are always looking for articles about family history, collectibles, memories, old fashioned crafts, family recipes and kid's projects. If you have a piece that you would like to submit please read these submission guidelines first, then send your submission via email via the link at the end of these guidelines.

By submitting an article to Old Fashioned Living you hereby grant us permission to publish it and edit it for length and content, as necessary, without monetary compensation. In return you will receive a short bio and link to your website or other contact information.

Copyright Infringement
Your articles, craft projects, recipes and tips MUST be original! You will be opening yourself up for legal action by the author, publisher or magazine that the submission comes from IF it is not original. The age of the writing DOES NOT MATTER-if you did not write it yourself you can't take credit for it. We are very happy to promote new writers and their websites as long as the work is original.

Your Copyright & Our Use
By submitting your article, you represent that you are its author or creator, or that you are submitting it with the permission of its author or creator who has agreed to these terms and conditions.  We request one-time electronic rights and the right to keep chosen submissions in archive.  You retain the full copyright and we have one time use of the article should we choose to print it. Furthermore, you grant permission for your article to be reprinted on other websites and in our various newsletters providing the article, your bio and link remain intact. This allows for promotion of your writing as well as promotion for this site. Any articles that we use will be archived on the site permanently unless we choose to remove them. You are free to submit it to other publications as well.

Site Advertisements
As part of Old Fashioned Living's revenue stream, and in order to keep the site free for our readers, we utilize different types of third party advertisers. Our in-text advertiser scans our content and matches certain keywords with relevant companies. Those links may appear in articles on the website and are recognizable by their double blue underline. The sponsored links are randomly generated and can change as the page is refreshed. Other advertisements may include graphical banners and text links.

Harvesting and Using Summer Squash

Summer squash is one of my favorite vegetables. I love the yellow summer squash in particular. They should be harvested while still tender, when they have a "glossy" appearance and are still small. You will most likely need to harvest daily once they start to appear.
