A Mother's Tribute

Rosemary "Rosie"

Remembrance Rosie is my daughter. She passed away from complications due to Neuroblastoma on March 2, 2000. She was just 12 days shy of her 3rd birthday. I think of her every day, but when the school year starts again and autumn is around the corner, I really miss her. She always wanted to go to school, and frequently asked if she could ride a school bus. She loved other kids and loved reading and learning. She also enjoyed the autumn. She was so happy when we would go apple picking, go on hay rides, and pick colored leaves. She was unable to eat, due to her cancer, but she loved to suck on apples. I'd take a large bite, and she would put the apple to her lips and enjoy the sweet juice of the apple. She was a dear, sweet, wonderful child who I miss greatly.

Cast iron is also the cookware of choice amongst serious campers and hikers, but be sure to bring the pack mule, this stuff is heavy!
