Easy Halloween Recipes!


Monster Mouths

Ingredients:

2 1/3 cup Bisquick buttermilk baking mix

2/3 cup milk

3 Tbls. milk

1/4 cup red colored sugar

Fruit Roll-Ups chewy snack rolls

2/3 cup yogurt-covered raisins

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Stir baking mix and milk until soft dough forms. Turn dough onto surface dusted with baking mix. Gently roll in baking mix to coat. Shape into balls. Knead 10 times.

Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2 1/2 inch round cutter. Roll edges of biscuits in 3 Tbls. milk, then roll in colored sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

Split biscuits 3/4 of the way through with a sharp knife. Cut 8 tongue shapes, about 3X1 inch, from fruit rolls. Place each tongue on center of biscuit bottom, letting the tongue hang out of biscuit. Stand raisins between biscuit halves for teeth. 8 biscuits

Spooky Eyes

Ingredients:

2 cups bisquick

2/3 cup milk

1/2 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened

1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese

2 slices swiss cheese

16 slices ripe, or pimiento-stuffed green olives

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Stir baking mix and milk until soft dough forms. Turn dough onto surface dusted with baking mix; gently roll in baking mix to coat. Shape into ball and knead 10 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick and cut with 2 1/2 inch round cookie or biscuit cutter. Cut each circle in half. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Spread 1 tsp. cream cheese on rounded edge of each biscuit. Roll in cheddar cheese. Cut 1-inch circle in center of each biscuit. Top eye with an olive slice. Makes 16 eyes.

Taffy Apple Dip

Ingredients:

8 oz. softened cream cheese

3/4 cup brown sugar

l Tbsp. vanilla extract

Optional: chopped peanuts

Mix all together until well blended. Try serving this in a scooped out mini pumpkin!

Black Cat Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup crunchy peanut butter

1/3 cup water

2 eggs

1 boxed chocolate cake mix

M&M candies

Red hot candies

Beat together peanut butter, eggs, and water. Gradually add the dry cake mix. Mix well. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten balls with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Pinch out the dough to form two ears at the top of cookie. Add the M&M's for eyes and the red hots for a nose. Press a fork into the dough to form whiskers. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.

Marshmallow Candy Corn Treats

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter or margarine

10 cups crispy rice cereal

9 cups miniature marshmallows

2 cups candy corn

3/4 cup miniature chocolate chips

Candy pumpkins

Orange food coloring

Melt butter and marshmallows over very low heat stirring until smooth. In a large bowl, mix rice cereal, candy corn and miniature chips together-set aside. Add orange food coloring to marshmallow mixture, stir into the bowl of cereal Stir quickly to combine. Spread on a large buttered jelly roll pan; press with buttered hands. While warm, press on candy pumpkins spaced 1 to 1/2-2 inches apart. Refrigerate and cut into squares.
