Glittered Easter Eggs

Glitter Eggs

By Brenda Hyde

You will need:

Raw eggs

pin

craft glue

powdered glitter in various colors plus gold

Holding your egg over a bowl, make a hole in both sides of the egg with the pin. Enlarge one hole by moving the pin around the hole until it's slightly bigger. Break the yolk by poking through the hole with the pin, a thin needle will also work. With your mouth on one end over the smaller hole, blow until the insides come out into the bowl. Rinse the inside of the egg carefully using the holes. Repeat with as many eggs as you wish to decorate, allow them to dry.

Carefully brush craft glue onto the outside of an egg. Gently place the egg in one color of glitter that has been placed in a bowl. Spoon the glitter over the egg, covering it's surface.. Remove from the bowl and allow to dry for at least one hour. Repeat with other eggs. You can use any type of bird egg for this craft, and any color glitter. Place your glitter eggs in white or natural baskets for a centerpiece. Soak a piece of floral foam, insert tulips in an arrangement, place in a basket or bowl, and cover the base with plastic around the tulips and on top of the foam. Place on this a layer of Spanish moss to cover, and arrange the glitter eggs around the tulips.
