A Basket for Mother's Day
by Brenda Hyde
Make this special basket for Mother's Day. You can add a plants such as pansies or African
Violets to the basket for giving, or fill it with bath
items for mom. Use your imagination and give her
a few of her favorite things!
You will need:
grapevine or wicker basket
hot glue gun and glue
Spanish moss
dried rose buds, baby's breath (or other dried flowers)
1/2 - 1 inch wide wire edged ribbon for bow
Line the top edge of the basket (do about a 1/4 of the
basket edge at a time) with hot glue. Carefully press
on the moss until the edge is covered. You can trim
it with scissors if it's uneven or slightly wild. Using the
hot glue again, attach rose buds and small amounts
of baby's breath around the basket edge directly on
the moss. Allow to dry-make sure the flowers are
secure-glue again if some are loose. Attach the bow.
