Site Redesign & Member Spotlight

Hi all

You may or may not have noticed, but the OFL website has been undergoing some design changes. If you are not able to view them yet, you should within the following week.

Part of that new design includes featuring one of our parlor members in the Member Spotlight section. You can view this section on the right side bar of the homepage, or any page with the OFL website. The short blurb about the featured member is taken from your public profile in the "About Me" tab. I will randomly choose members to feature as long as there is something listed in the About Me tab and an avatar is present.

If you prefer NOT to ever be featured, please post a reply saying so here. Nothing is given out about you as you can see from the featured member box. It's just a way to add a personable touch to the website side of things and is included in hopes that other visitors will come to parlor to join us.

That's a good idea, I think I'd better go spice up my profile blurb though, maybe toss in something wildly exotic.

Oh I love that!! And maybe you could get more information about the member than what's on their About Me tab from the member that is okay to give out. I mean some of the member profiles are kinda skimpy and maybe some would like to add stuff not on the tab.

I've already done that!

O.T.: Crafty Amanda, when I went to see who you featured in your highlight, I had to re-sign in in order to get back to the link for this site. Is this something which is intended to be done? I read Sheila's feature "documentary"

That may happen here and there for a few days. it's most likely caused because of the DNS change when we switched servers and moved the site. It also has to do with pages being cached etc.

If you still notice it happening by Friday let me know

thankyou, i prefer not.. altho, i've just removed any details from my profile here, so it's a given i suppose.. not something i would like at all tho, having any of my personal details on the front page like that.

I use "joking" and "tormenting" interchangeably - like "pulling your leg". Genuine tormenting is a form of bullying and I haven't the least desire to do that!
