OK, everyone!

First & foremost: read the link in the first post!! It's important!!

2) The Swap is to be a "Secret Santa" Swap - all of the participants are to post their names here on this thread who wish to participate in it. I'll assign the recipients to the participants. Please send me your civic addresses via PM!! These will be kept in confidence and given to the participant who is to be the sender of your parcel.

3) If at all possible, could some of you be "Parlour Angels" to have enough $$ to send a gift to a participant if someone drops out or fails to complete his/her commitment?

For example: if Ms. Leslie were to be unable to participate & she has been given a "Swap" partner, Ms. Leslie would notify me and I'd need to know if there are others who can help me out with the fulfillment of her obligation.

Similarly; if Ms. Leslie didn't send her assigned partner her parcel and the unknown person has made it known that (s)he hasn't heard anything by posting on this thread and by notifying me, I'm going to need some help to make certain that as many participants as possible receive a parcel. I have limited funds! Therefore, I DON'T EXPECT anyone to spend a fortune to send a parcel to ANYONE!!

4) $ value isn't to exceed $15 - $20 MAXIMUM! We're in tight economic times, so please keep that in mind! It's more the thought than the quantity of the parcel.

5) International participants will have to have to consider the extra travel time for his/her parcel to reach the recipient's destination as well as additional postage costs to send it.

6) Chanukah is being considered in this Swap. Whoever receives Kaybee as a "Swap" partner must keep in mind that Chanukah begins at sundown on Dec. 11. That person will be informed accordingly of Ideas for Kaybee, having been given some stated ideas. (I made some discrete inquiries!

7) Please post your likes & dislikes here, especially if you have any allergies.

8) Please post when you have sent & received your parcel.

9) When sending some home made food items across international borders, it's best to NOT send something home made for health reasons as well as immigration and regulations from other countries. Please state if you don't mind sending something overseas.

Members may start signing up beginning Nov. 15/09

Closing date for the sign-up is Nov. 25/09.

McGill, Include me. I also love to exchange hand made items. I always include something I have made or painted in my swap box.
I collect angels, but know I would love anything that is sent to me!
I'm excited to get started. Have a couple trips coming up and will see what I find on them. This is so much fun.

whoever gets me---please no food at all---includes tea,cookies,chocolates---anything edible---problems at customs with it.

mcgill---i think we should perhaps give some direction to make things easier for the gift giver.

like--i love american magazines--so expensive here--like good housekeeping or family circle.stationary is good too.warm gloves to go with my red winter coat.
