Smile Living By What We Admire

Due to too many misunderstandings, I never thought I would have to let go of a career in teaching because it was through years of discussions about subjects that were supposedly not to be shared, inappropriate at the time or too difficult for young children to comprehend. Nor did I ever want to hurt or harm anyone with whatever came up to be talked about.

Have you ever played the game called, "Telephone?" I played it numerous times with elementary children and it was always funny and a joy to play to see if the right words would finally be heard by the last person in exactly the way it was started by the first person. It is sad to say the communication in real life is taken to seriously and has turned into a threatening and defeating purpose. It only takes one person to ruin the reputation of someone else because of making something more than what it really is. I thank God there was a lawyer friend of mine that had a heart to heart talk to say, "What goes around comes around." It's so easy to blame and lash out at this so what's even harder is salvaging through the quotes that have made a difference in so many peoples lives because they come from the heart. There will never be too much of any quote to overcome what there is not enough of! To be inspired is to inspire:-) This is only the beginning of a lifetime of many more to come.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to WHAT LIES WITHIN US. Emerson

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller

To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! Emerson
This quote was used in my mom's funeral prayer card.
More about what I can share... in time

Dear JmnBean,

Sounds like you were really hurt. I'am sorry someone betrayed you..Life is full of ups and downs and while I do not know what happened to you.I do know that forgivness will give you peace. My friends husband was forced to early retirement because of a misunderstanding . He was at that school for years.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller .....Love this quote thanks for sharing.. my prayers are with you....

Living By What We Admire

If all people could do this with genuine hearts of encouragement the world would be a better place.

Many people have gone farther than they thought they could because someone else thought they could. Anonymous

People seem to enjoy ruining someone elses happiness. I understand what you are going thru to a point.

I worked in a hospital. The woman in charge (ha ha) decided that she wanted a friend of hers in the position I held. My work was sabotaged and changed. I stood thru it all with my head up. The union sold me up the river to get a contract signed.
I lost my job.

Three months later, I found that I was pregnant and found the wonderful life of a stay at home Mom. I don't miss the rat race and such immoral behaviors. For a Church run hospital, it was horrible. Doctor and nurse were having an affair. All kinds of things. So I just decided that I was the one who won.

I ran into the woman who cost me my job. I smiled and said hello, how are you?
Her husband had had a brain bleed and was in a coma and she was working and coming home to taking care of him. Did I feel good in this? Not at all. But what comes around goes around. I never believed that before. It sure came around didn't it?

Blessings,
Amy

Living By What We Admire

Thank you Amy for sharing your story. I will need your prayers and I will do the same for you. I just let go of the whole situation about my teaching job because it was only subbing and I NEVER wanted to go back to do that again. It's very difficult to move on from something I have eaten, slept and breathed all my life. They will continue with their jobs and probably could care less about being in the shoes of the people (like me) of what they did and if any good will become of it.

I am striving ahead as best I can. I have an early childcare conference this Sat. and have a vendor booth. My business is called "Measuring Up to The Stars." It's part of a program designed by a director from Green Bay, WI. Home of the Packers !!! It teaches children readiness skills for school through music. I'm also certified to be a lead childcare teacher. I have my masters in arts in ed. A doctorate is on the back burner.

I bumped into two ladies in the surgery waiting room the other day. I was waiting with my brother on my dad who had his other knee replaced. The conversation led to finding out that one of them had a mom that passed away from breast cancer. I shared with her that my mom passed away from colon cancer plus numerous illnesses she also was fighting throughout her life. The other woman had a husband in surgery with lung cancer. I mentioned to them who I was and changing careers. She knew the director organizing the conference I was going to attend and her mom used to be a childcare teacher at UW-Whitewater, Whitewater,WI. She gave me some insights saying I'd be good with support groups and check into pursuing something in that area. I said I would take her up on that.

The nicest thing about the conversation is I won't forget them. They were so inspiring and I admired their positive outlook on things. I think God was looking out for me on this one.
Thanks for sharing,
Blessings to you too!

JMNBean That sounds so interesting! There was a couple of ladies in the Burlington wi, yrs ago that did a learning through music but not exactly like yours! do you have a web site? I have researched about how music helps to learn especially classical. I have a Adhd son whom I homeschool and I'am always looking for ways for him to learn. I know UW whitewater its a good size college. I'am so glad you were encouragedDo you have a web site. although I don't have any preschoolers.I thought about getting a masters in education but I wanted to teach French, art. But I can't. I don't feel lead to do it now. I want to write..I encourage you to reach for the stars , that may seem difficult but when you do reach them you will see how far you have come! O.k. so I can be corny...be blessed

I think you would be good in a support group.

I am sorry about your Mom. I had a scare with my Mom and breast cancer. She is now four years ca free. She has one more year of Tamoxifen. She is doing well. I think the thought of a mastectomy is worse than having it done and getting on.

I am very big on education early. My five year old reads better than most adults I know. She just turned five in Oct. She is amazing. She is an extremely bright child. But Dad is a member of MENSA, so it is no wonder. I am always looking for things to keep her busy and thinking. I used music with her in the womb and beyond. She loves classical music.

Have a blessed day.

Living By What We Admire

I thought of Mother Teresa today. I never realized that she wasn't a very tall woman. She never would wear any makeup. I think it's because God formed her into a woman with makeup that always came from the heart!!! WOW! I think that's why I admire her so much.

Another is Ben Franklin and Moses. It took them until their older...pretty old... years to pursue some very significant things in life.

Here's a thought to ponder. I may do some further writing on her. Mary the Mother of Jesus.

Why was she the chosen one? Did her pregnancy hurt like any others that go through it? because he picked her, did God ever spare her the pain of childbirth or just enough so that he could be born from her womb and then go through so much more?

Let me know your thoughts and anyone else that wants to share. Your point of view will expand the great knowledge of the wonderful desire to admire such profound things such as this in life.

Mother Teresea was a great role model, which we need more of. This Christmas I'am thiking of all the people out in the world who don't have much. My children and I just did 2 shoes boxes for Samaritan's operation Christmas shoe box. What joy those boxes will bring children across the continent. To answer your question about Mary why did God choose her ? well theres a lot comes to my mind. God said in Genesis that the seed of a woman would crush the serpent's head. In Matthew before anything it has the lineage written which was significant in those days. And because God is soverien to what He wills...I often wondered about if she suffered childbirth and can you imagine being pregnant like that riding a mule?..She was well looked after tho I know that. I really Admire ben franklin he was such a early influence on our country and a very clever fellow. I have his book of essays. I also would love to read john and mary Adam's love letters...Moses ya wow JMNBean thanks for mentioning the older thing that means theres still hope for me to do something significant ...
