I agree with no necklace and dangly earrings - love the shoes, but love the outfit more - the neckline is beautiful. The lines are classic and I think the guy steered you right.

The shoes are lovely ! I want some ! So pretty and will coordinate nicely with the top of your outfit. I love feminine shoes like that. I can see why you chose them if you will be on a lawn, too. Besides, you don't want your feet and back to hurt.

Perfect! The outfit is beautiful and the shoes will go wonderfully. I agree no necklace. Do you have short hair? Dangly earrings arent my style either. Could you go with some sparkly studs or drop earrings?

I'm so not a chandelier earring person!! I think something sparkley and a drop, but not hanging down but an inch or less.

This shop owner is really something. He asked me what color the bridesmaids were wearing and I told him black , and he said, "Well then you should wear black too." So I told him the bride's mother was wearing seafoam green, and he said, "Well, she's absolutely out of her mind!!" Then when he was measuring me, he told me to raise my arms so he could get the tape around me, and then he said, "Put your arms down it will make your boobs bigger"." And I'm just like. 'Oh okay...."

Oh and yes, I have short dark hair.

That outfit is both classy and simply elegant at the same time. Go for it and don't worry what the others think. Black is always in style!

Gayla, I'm sure you can find some nice dangly earrings in the length YOU prefer. I don't like the chandelier type for me at all and it bothers me so I don't wear them, but the right length of dangly makes the throat look slender and also will draw attention to the cut of your neckline. So many to choose from these days.

Gayla love the outfit and the shoes, I think you chose wisely. Maybe some earrings that dangle a little will look nice with it otherwise go and look for the chandelier earrings hold them up and look in a mirror and see if you like them or not. At least you will know then for sure.

I don't think you have to wear such long ones the model has on. I actually think the models are to long.

I don't dare spend your money, or I'll be shot!!! Do you have any small diamond studded earrings which would add the finishing touch to the ensemble? My mother wears them when she wears a black ensemble with minimal or no jewelry as a "finishing touch".

Dream on, Lizzy! It would look rather odd for you to have only one of the diamomd studs and Gayla have the other! Besides, I have to use Monopoly money, and we know how much that will buy!!

Oh and McGill, I told DH that you thought I needed ultra large diamond stud earrings with a smaller (1 carat or so) drop for my outfit, plus a matching bracelet. So if he e-mails you or anything, just play along, ok??
