A Tribute:
Casey Wayne Rudolph
We had lost a neice in a car wreck in 1996 and then in 1998 tragedy struck again. Our 18 year old nephew, who was an only child was killed on his birthday just a mile from his house. We had just celebrated his birthday with family the Saturday before that horrible Monday. He was a Freshman in college and was a very talented guitar player. He got the opportunity to play for us at his party, however, he did not want anybody to watch him so whoever was in his room had to turn their back to him. When Casey was a little boy, you never could tell what he would say or do. When I started dating his Uncle, I was just 14 years old. I never knew at that age I could be intimidated by a 6 year old. Casey had a way of being very smart beyond his years and he kept us on our toes. I miss how he was always cracking some joke about his Uncle Gerald or Uncle John (my husband).
Casey dearly loved his cousins and we laid him to rest next to his 5 year old cousin Catelyn. God works in mysterious ways. I know that Catelyn and Casey are together in Heaven. Our family has never been the same since. As for my husband and I, our faith in God grows stronger everyday.
