A Daughter's Tribute - Betty Jean

Remembrance Roses My Mother, Betty, the absolute best in teaching me about life. She always taught me that it was not perfection that mattered. What mattered is the love you have, the love you give. Being able to say "I'm sorry, oops I really goofed." She taught me it was perfectly fine to be human. She loved me no matter what. Her hand upon my cheek could take the troubles of the world away. Her smile and the words "Honey, it's gonna be ok, it all comes out in the wash."

At my mothers memorial I choose to play a song by Van Morrison. The title of the song is Crazy Love. She could make the worst situation seem like nothing much. It's been 7 1/2 yrs and there is not a day that goes by that I don't tell her how much I love her. Never does a day go by that I do not miss her as if it were the first.

I love you mama. Thank you for being you.

Cast iron is also the cookware of choice amongst serious campers and hikers, but be sure to bring the pack mule, this stuff is heavy!
